Too Loud Records proudly announces the signing of Kauz of Affliction, the explosive punk rock trio hailing from the Big Island of Hawaii. Formed in 2015, the band features Erik Wilcox on vocals and guitar, Justine Hanchar on vocals and bass, and Wes Rushing on drums.
Over the past decade, Kauz of Affliction have carved out a distinct place in the international punk scene, releasing six full-length albums that showcase their raw energy, melodic hooks, and unapologetic attitude. Their latest release, “Life Tips on Dumpster Diving” (March 7, 2025), has already surpassed 3 million Spotify streams and 5 million total across major platforms, cementing their reputation as one of Hawaii’s most exciting musical exports.
Their single “Gas Station Burrrito” gained placement on several of Spotify’s top punk playlists, while “Rat Problem” opened Dammit Records’ Dam-Nations Compilation (February 2025). Known for their fiery live performances, Kauz of Affliction have shared the stage with a long list of punk and alternative icons including T.S.O.L., Cherry Poppin’ Daddies, Voodoo Glow Skulls, The Courettes, D.I., Enuff Z’Nuff, Janet Gardner (Vixen), Pretty Boy Floyd, The Queers, The Venomous Pinks, The Darts, rAdolescents, Bad Cop Bad Cop, Stalag 13, and Urethane.
Following extensive touring throughout Hawaii and the mainland U.S., the band is preparing for a three-week European tour with Dead Pollys in Spring 2026.
In October 2025, Kauz of Affliction officially signed with Too Loud Records to produce their next studio album — a project that will be produced, mixed, and mastered by Riccardo Daga at Titans Lab Recording Studio in Ferrara, Italy. This collaboration marks a bold new chapter in the band’s creative evolution, promising a powerful new sound that pushes their punk roots into fresh, uncharted territory.
